Health Policy Weekend (HPW) is the AUA’s premier urologic policy event, bringing together urologists and policy leaders to shape the future of health policy. AUA is opening limited access to industry partners through a sponsorship opportunity focused on engagement, shared policy priorities, and direct interaction with AUA physician and policy leadership.

Structured small-group discussions with AUA physician leaders and policy experts

Industry is not permitted to attend closed-door committee meetings throughout the weekend.
Participation in the Policy Leadership Exchange is limited to six sponsoring organizations to preserve the quality and interactive nature of the discussions.
Sponsorships are limited and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis due to capacity restrictions.
Leadership groups and discussion topics are subject to final agenda development.
Industry is not to discuss coding issues (CPT, RUC, HCPCS, etc.) with the PPRC. These meetings are for broader CMS and payor/payment concerns.
The American Urological Association (AUA) is excited to open the expert advisor application for the Urology Telehealth and Technology Committee (UTTC) — a new standing committee, formed in January 2026, dedicated to advancing AUA’s work at the intersection of clinical care, artificial intelligence (AI), telehealth, and healthcare policy. The UTTC serves as a thought leadership forum for understanding and shaping how federal and state legislatures and agencies regulate medicine and the adoption of emerging technologies in urology.
As part of this effort, the committee includes an Advisory Council composed of industry representatives who are recognized experts in health technology, health law, or health policy. Advisory Council members serve in a consultative capacity sharing expertise and helping AUA and the UTTC incorporate industry perspectives into ongoing policy discussions.
Applications are now open to apply as a non-voting expert advisor to the Urology Telehealth and Technology Committee! Contribute your expertise where it matters most — at the intersection of clinical care, cutting-edge technology, and AI policy. As an advisor, you’ll directly inform how the AUA engages in federal and state policies and regulations, best practices, and other efforts related to:

Commitment: ~60 hours annually
Term Length: Two-year term (2027–2028)
Annual Fee: $20,000 per year to support the work of the Committee
Application Deadline and Selections: The deadline to apply is October 31, 2026. We’ll review applications on a rolling basis, and selections will be announced December 1, 2026.
