The AUA's Policy & Advocacy Team works full time in Washington, DC, with lawmakers and regulators. Their work impacts both the federal and state levels to support the practice of urology, our members and their patients. Our advocacy efforts now include opportunities for meaningful collaboration with industry, built on shared goals and the expertise of our dedicated staff and volunteers.

*Coalition for Urologic Patients (CUP)
The Coalition for Urologic Patients (CUP) unites patient advocacy organizations and specialty societies within the urologic community to build consensus, collaborate, and engage in public policy and advocacy activities at both the federal and state levels. CUP provides a platform for collective action on public policy issues that impact urologic care and patients.

Health Policy Weekend (HPW) is the AUA’s premier urologic policy event, bringing together urologists, patient advocates, and policy leaders to shape the future of health policy. For the first time, AUA is opening limited access to industry partners through two tailored sponsorship packages focused on engagement, shared policy priorities and collective impact.
POLICY LEADER SPONSOR – $15,000
Limited Availability
Benefits:
  • 2 company registrations for HPW (Friday-only)
  • Participation in the AUA’s Inaugural Insurance Roundtable (Friday, Nov. 21)
    • Up to 2 company reps may attend
    • Engage in high-level discussions with private payers, federal agencies, and urologists
    • Will include the opportunity to hear from urologic patients about specific payment-related challenges and burdens
    • Topics include reimbursement challenges, LCDs, coverage denials, and opportunities for advocacy
  • Table-top exhibit space on Friday (exact hours TBD)

  • Industry is not permitted to attend closed-door committee meetings throughout the weekend.
  • The Insurance Roundtable is strictly available to Policy Leader sponsors.
  • Sponsorships are limited and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis due to capacity restrictions.
  • Sponsorship of the AUA Health Policy Weekend does not include access to, or participation in, Patient Advocacy Alliance programming.
