Programming
The AUA Annual Meeting is the premier venue for industry to showcase innovative research and technology. For AUA attendees, industry sponsored programming is the most efficient and effective way to stay in-the-know regarding the latest urologic surgery techniques, devices, drugs and innovations. Industry-sponsored programming is a fundamental element of the AUA’s mission to promote the highest standards of clinical care through education and research.
Product Theaters
Product Theaters are the premier venue for industry to hold non-CME educational programming regarding new products and services and the latest in data and research findings. A limited number of 60 minute timeslots will be available both inside the theater located within the Science & Technology Hall as well in the AUA Square. The fee includes the theater space, a basic A/V package, as well as a generous promotional package. These events are heavily promoted by the AUA and open to all AUA2023 attendees. CME programming is prohibited in the Product Theaters.

Patient Perspectives Program
For the second year, the AUA plans to showcase the Patient Perspectives Program at the AUA2023 Annual Meeting in Chicago, April 28 through May 1, 2023. The activities outlined in this sponsorship overview will offer patients and their caregivers an opportunity to tell their stories and convey information they believe is important to understanding the dichotomy between what patients think, feel, and want and what physicians may contemplate or understand, empowering patients and their healthcare providers to make valuable connections about awareness, communication, and patient care.
Overarching Goals:
  • To elevate awareness and fill an unmet need in terms of patient-physician disconnects and provide educational opportunities for both patients and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • To help physicians and healthcare providers understand what success looks like in patient-physician communication.
  • To provide insight on informed decision-making to improve communication and understanding between the patient and physician to improve health outcomes and care.

Independent Satellite Symposia
The AUA is pleased to offer accredited CME providers the opportunity to host Independent Satellite Symposia (ISS) in conjunction with AUA2023. A limited number of 2-hour breakfast and dinner timeslots are available on Friday, April 28 - Monday, May 1.

Skills Enhancement Workshops
The AUA offers Skills Enhancement Workshops for sponsorship by day in the topic area of your choice. The objective of the space is to provide hands-on industry-supported education in the Science & Technology Hall.
Each supporting company will own one day of programming in an AUA-built 30’ x 40’ workshop; each workshop will be in the AUA show look, placed in a designated Skills Enhancement Workshop area in the S&T Hall and will feature highly visible signage with your program details. Included with each workshop are carpet and basic furnishings, as well as a comprehensive marketing plan to drive attendee traffic to your programs.

Skills Challenge
Physicians are competitive by nature and will embrace the opportunity to “match skills” against their colleagues. We stand ready to use their competitive spirit to drive traffic to your booth and offer a fun, spirited competition to our attendees with our Skills Challenge.
Drive traffic to your booth with an entertaining, dynamic “Top Gun” skills challenge! Sponsoring companies will develop a task to be performed in their booths that can be timed or scored; attendees will be directed via the promotional plan to visit each of the sponsor exhibit booths to complete the challenge task. The AUA will provide leaderboards located in high-traffic areas throughout the convention center and will show the best ranking competitors for each Skills Challenge. The AUA will award a prize to the highest ranked individual for each challenge.
Sponsors have the option to include their Skills Challenge as part of the Residents Bowl Challenge. Residents from all AUA Sections will be encouraged to visit sponsor booths, participate in the Skills Challenge and record their name and section. The Section with the most participation will win points towards their overall Residents Bowl score.

Device Tech Talk
New this year, the Device Tech Talk stage is the premier location to showcase your products to attendees in the Science & Technology Hall. Sponsoring companies will have the stage for 20 minutes to promote their product and an additional 5 minutes for audience Q&A. Talks will run daily 10 am - Noon and 1 - 3 pm for a total of 24 available timeslots. Companies are limited to two timeslots per day.

Notes:
  • Company logo and talk title will be displayed on a digital screen on the perimeter of the booth during your timeslot.
  • The talk title, speaker(s) name(s) and sponsoring company’s name will be listed in the industry sponsored programming section of the Meeting Program as well as in the Daily Schedule and Tomorrow’s Education Today Emails.
  • The stage includes two large presentation monitors, and an A/V technician will be onsite to preload presentations should you choose to use the monitors.

Robotics Theater
The AUA Robotics Theater was launched in 2022 as a way to showcase the latest tips and tricks in robotic surgery. The theater is located in the Science & Technology Hall. The Robotics Theater is packed with three days of programming highlighting the best robotics surgeons in the world. Each day will include a moderated session for the top three surgical videos for each topic category.
AUA2023 Robotics Theater Video Programming: Company will provide funds to be used by AUA for the following purposes. AUA will determine how funds are used. All surgeon and video selections will be made solely by AUA and all payments to such surgeons will be made by AUA. Company will not select, approve, or otherwise influence the selection of the meeting’s or Robotics Theaters’ presenters, topics, or content.

Bladder Cancer Forum
The AUA2023 Annual Meeting will feature a Bladder Cancer Forum hosted by the International Bladder Cancer Group (IBCG) on Sunday, April 30th. Expert International panelists across bladder cancer disciplines will deliver State-of-the-Art Lectures on contemporary management as well as debate treatment strategies for challenging disease states.
Across the spectrum of non-muscle invasive disease, discussion topics will include the role of surveillance for low-risk NMIBC as well as the impact of variant histology on NMIBC management. Panelists will discuss current and emerging therapeutic options for BCG unresponsive disease and the role of timely cystectomy for high-risk NMIBC. In the MIBC setting, the role for neoadjuvant systemic therapy will be debated, along with the emerging relevance of defining clinical complete response to systemic therapy in bladder preservation strategies.

Urologic Care for the Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
The AUA is committed to providing quality, evidence-based urologic education to the entire urologic health care team! 2023 AUA/SUO Advanced Prostate Cancer Course
As a direct result of the significant increase in multiple FDA-approved therapeutic agents for use in patients with advanced prostate cancer, clinicians are challenged with a multitude of treatment options and potential sequencing of these agents that, consequently, make clinical decision-making more complex. This activity will build upon the updated 2020 AUA Guidelines on Metastatic Hormone Sensitive Prostate Cancer (HSPC) and Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer (CRPC). Topics will include the latest on Genetic Testing in Advanced Prostate Cancer and the Role of Immunotherapy and PARP Inhibitors.
Designed for residents, fellows and APPs as well as urologists and other health care providers who care for patients with prostate cancer, this interactive forum will focus on the application of knowledge with case studies and small group discussion integrated throughout the day.
